2025 marks our 10th consecutive year supporting this initiative, reflecting our ongoing commitment to community engagement and expanding our impact each year. We value our long-standing partnership with MissionSAFE and remain proud to support the important work they do for Boston’s at-risk youth.

State Electric, located in Bedford, Massachusetts, has been in business since 1988 and is one of the most respected and trusted full-service electrical contractors in New England. The depth of experience and expertise, particularly in healthcare, life science, commercial, sports & entertainment, transportation, power and renewable energy, transmission, distribution and substation work, will only enhance the services offered to our clients. The E-J Group looks forward to providing their clients with additional experience, expertise, and innovative solutions to this area of the Northeast for the reliable, fast-track project delivery they are accustomed to.

Ronnie Koning will remain as President, reporting to E-J’s EVP, Dave Ferguson. Brendan Dickie will continue as COO, and Jane Wu will maintain her position as Controller. Their collective expertise will remain instrumental to the organization’s ongoing success.

E-J has thrived and survived the test of time by emerging into nearly a $1 billion national electrical company with great financial strength, national clients, project diversity, and a company culture that is founded on Safety Comes First.

State Electric Corporation and President Ronnie Ko

State Electric Corporation and President Ronnie Koning are excited to announce additions to the ownership team with the promotions of Brendan Dickie to Partner, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Jane Wu to Partner, Controller. Both Brendan and Jane have been with State Electric since 2005 and were instrumental in growing the company to become a premier electrical contractor in New England. They have exemplified our commitment to being a trusted and experienced partner that continually delivers best in class services to our clients. We look forward to the direction our new ownership team will take State Electric while continuing to meet the growing demands and challenges of our industry.

Brendan started at State Electric as a senior project manager before being promoted in 2010 to Vice President, Commercial Electrical Construction. He has grown and established our Commercial Division to be extremely respected by all our clients through strong performance and a commitment to excellence. Brendan has been the project executive on some of the most challenging and complex projects in the Boston area such as the Boston Landing Development, Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, Novartis, 121 Seaport – Alexion, 145 Broadway – Akamai, 325 Main St. – Google, and One Seaport Square. As Partner, COO, Brendan will now oversee State Electric’s overall operation, business development, project management, estimating, and strategic planning.

Jane’s tenure at State Electric began in the Accounting Department and she quickly forged her way to the controller position in 2006. Jane has built a strong and professional accounting team that supports and contributes to the company’s growth and success. She is very highly regarded by all our financial institutions such as Salem Five Bank, Liberty Mutual Surety, Alliant Insurance Bonding Company, and HUB International Insurance for her attention to detail and accuracy. As Partner, Controller, Jane will take on a greater role overseeing the overall management of the company’s financial operation including financial accounting, reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, internal control, and business administration.

State Electric’s Director of Business Development

State Electric’s Director of Business Development John Ablondi has been a prominent figure in the electrical construction industry for more than 40 years. Over the course of his career, he forged his way through the ranks to hold executive positions at Mass Electric Construction Co. and Kiewit in addition to State Electric. John recently announced his retirement and today marks his last day.

Since joining State Electric in 2015, he has helped solidify client relationships while being an integral part of the support network for our operations team. Through his leadership and breadth of experience, John has been one of the driving forces in building State Electric to the company we are today. All of us are very grateful for the contributions John has made to our company and his legacy will make a lasting impact for years to come. Please join us in wishing John a happy and healthy retirement!
